Access to records

The practice team will keep your medical records confidential.

If you wish to see your medical records you must contact the practice manager. You have a right of access to medical records made since 1st November 1991 under the Access to Health Records Act 1990. (A fee may be charged if you wish to have a copy of the record.) Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 you may request a copy of your medical records free of charge. This is known as a subject access request.

We will return reports for non-medical bodies (solicitors, insurance companies etc) within four working weeks, unless greater urgency is stressed. Our NHS medical work takes priority.
